If you take a few steps back from your newly budding start-up business, you might begin to see the business as more than just a bunch of stuff that needs to come together to make money. Really, your start-up is a project. Think of how many components are being thrown in to the mix to make your business become a systematized reality. You’ve got your founders, employees, developers, partnerships and JV’s, lawyers, accountants, etc., all running around doing their tasks. What strategies are you using to control the chaos?

Why I am holding out on marketing events

Lately, I have been pondering exactly how I want to go about marketing the blog. I have thought about doing things like expensive ReviewMe’s and grandiose contests, but I am going to save that for when the blog has reached epic proportions *crossing fingers*. Waiting it out for something like 75 RSS subscribers and higher daily visitor and pageview states seems to me like a better option. Why?

I often base the credibility of the blogs I visit on the longevity of their blog, how many feed readers they have, and the quality of their content. If I feel like I am visiting a new blog that is more interested in opportunistic advertising than really giving their readers something useful, I won’t be subscribing. How are you spending your time?

Do you sometimes feel like you are running around with your head cut-off? Between all of the blogging, emails, phone calls, web surfing, and chatting with friends, you always make the valiant effort of putting in time to actually building profits, right? If you are part of the make money online crowd, you can relate to this.

We have all heard the phrase, “time is money” before . Once again, a cliche blurb not only happens to be true, but an extremely powerful concept in itself. Take a second to analyze your daily routine. Try to look at each individual activity throughout your day as either static, or profiting. Here are some things that you would consider a static activity:

  • junk email (any email that isn’t directly related to you making profits)
  • junk phone calls
  • chatting with friends
  • web surfing
  • blogging (unless you are marketing and profiting with it)
